Dear Parents,
The year has finally come to an end. I'd like to begin with a big thank you for all of your support this year. Your children have all made remarkable progress with their learning and growth in their own individual ways. This is most evident when I look at writing samples and numeracy skills/activities from the beginning of the year. This is also evident in the way their personalities have strengthened and minds have blossomed with curiosity.
I will be sending home a few optional resources (paper-based booklets) for summer practice should you wish for your child to work on some numeracy and literacy skills. There is no compulsion to return them to me, but it's always helpful for students to practice working independently and reviewing things they already know.
There are plenty of free website resources available for practice online. Here are a few paid resources that have been recommended to me by Mr. Big C, our technology integration teacher.

This Thursday, pick-up will be from the classroom at noon. I hope to see everyone between now and then to be able to say goodbye in person. If I do not get a chance to see you, I wish everyone a restful and happy holiday. I will still be at GWA next year, although in a new role as an EAL specialist. However, if I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to drop me a line. It has been a pleasure and a privilege working with your children.
Happy Holidays!
Warm regards,
Bhavna
